Notes:

Although Youngs includes adjacent separate entries for Barrowford and for Barrowford Booth, the only civil unit called Barrowford was created in 1894 out of Barrowford Booth and included most of Barrowford Booth's population. Further, the 1871 and 1881 censuses both call the unit which then existed just 'Barrowford'.
