NEEDHAM, a village and a parish in Depwade district, Norfolk. The village stands on the river Waveney, at the boundary with Suffolk, 1¼ mile S W of Harleston r. station; and is small and scattered. The parish comprises 1, 127 acres. Post-town, Scole. Real property, £2, 175. Pop., 395. Houses, 83. The property is much subdivided; and the manor is divided amongfive. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £82. Patrons, the Adair family. The church is old but good; and consists of nave and chancel, withporch and round tower.
