In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Glenariff like this:
Waterfoot.-- (or Glenariff, or Warren), vil., Layd par., NE. co. Antrim, on Red Bay, 2 miles S. of Cusheiidall, pop. 241; P.O., called GLENARIFFE: which see.
