A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Newsham like this:
NEWSHAM, an extra-parochial tract in Caistor district, Lincoln; 8½ miles N of Caistor. Pop., 14. A Gilbertine priory was founded here, in the time of Henry II., by Peter de Gousel; and was given, at the dissolution, to the Brandons.
This is the only descriptive gazetter entry we have found, but you may be able to find further references to Newsham by doing a full-text search here.
