POOL (Nether), a township in Eastham parish, Cheshire; on the Mersey, 8 miles S S E of Birkenhead. Acres, 1, 689; of which 1, 240 are water. Real property, £562. Pop., 25 . Houses, 3. P. Hall is a Tudor mansion; waslong the residence of the Pool family; and is now the seat of W. Amery, Esq.
