RUSTHALL, a chapelry in Speldhurst parish, Kent; 1 mile N W of Tunbridge-Wells r. station. Post-town, Tunbridge-Wells. Real property, £18, 840. Pop., 2, 700. The manor belonged formerly to a family of itsown name. R. House is the seat of Sir J. A. Musgrove, Bart.; R. Lodge, of J. Bowman, Esq.; Dornden, of J. ...


Field, Esq; and Hollybank, of Mrs. Currie. R. Commonis an extensive open waste, studded with massive singularly shaped rocks; and one of these, called the load Rock, is a remarkable logan-like cluster, and commandsa striking view. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of Canterbury. Value, not reported. Patron, the Rector of Speldhurst. The church is cruciform, and has a massive central tower. There are parochial schools.
