FRESHWELL, a hundred in Essex; bounded by Uttlesford and Hinckford hundreds, and by Suffolk and Cambridgeshire; and containing Ashdon parish and nine other parishes. Acres, 28, 121. Pop., 7, 568. Houses, 1, 680.
