LLANFFINAN, a parish in the district of Bangor and county of Anglesey; 2¼ miles ESE of Llangefni r. station. Post town, Llangefni, Anglesey. Acres, 1,267. Real property, £1,041. Pop., 138. Houses, 26 The property is divided between two. Plâs-Penmynydd is a house of the 14th century, and was the birth-place of Owen Tudor, who married Catherine of France, the widow of Henry V. ...


Limestone is worked The living is a p. curacy, annexed to the p. curacy of LlanfihangelEsceifiog, in the diocese of Bangor. The e church is dedicated to St. Finnan; stands in a very picturesque situation; and is a modern edifice, in very poor imitation of Norman. The parish shares in some school and almshouse charities of two neighbouring parishes.
