Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for MOAT-LANE

MOAT-LANE, a hamlet in Llanwnog parish, Montgomery; at the junction of the Cambrian railway with the Machynlleth and Aberystwith railway, near the river Severn and the Sarn Sws Roman way, 4½ miles W by S of Newtown. It has a railway station with telegraph, called the Moat-Lane Junction.
