NESS-CLIFF, a township in Great Ness parish, Salop; on the Potteries, Shrewsbury, and North Wales railway, 11¼ miles W N W of Shrewsbury. It has a station on the railway . A rocky cliff is here, and givesname to the township. There was formerly a chapel ofease, on a site now occupied by a parochial school.
