NEWSHOLME, or Newsham, a hamlet and a township in Wressell parish, E. R. Yorkshire. The hamlet lies adjacent to the Selby and Hull railway, 1¾ mile N W of Howden. The township contains also the hamlet of Brind. Acres, 2, 400. Real property, £2, 796. Pop., 203.
