OXSHOT, Ockshot, or Oakshade, a hamlet in Stoke-D' Abernon parish, Surrey; 3 miles N N W of Leatherhead. It has a post-office, of the name of Ockshot-street, under Leatherhead, and a national schoolfounded, in 1820, by the Duchess of Kent. Pop., 200.
