Pop. in 1861, 594; of whom 130 were in Walsingham workhouse. Houses, 100. The manor belongs to J. Dugmore, Esq. The living is a rectory, united with Thursford, in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £584.* Patron, St. John's College, Cambridge. The church is old but good, and has a fine tower. There are a national school, and charities £19.
