BECHAN, a river of North Wales. It rises on the Berwyn mountains, near the boundary between Montgomery and Merioneth; and runs 16 miles south-eastward, past Llanwddan, Llwydiarth-Park, and Pont-Dolanog, to the Einion, 1¾ mile below Maifod.
