Real property, £4,637. Pop., 384. Houses, 86. The property is all in one estate. Braxted Park, a handsome mansion, amid extensive grounds, is the seat ofDu Cane, Esq. A black priory stood at Tiptree; and was founded about the time of Edward I. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Rochester. Value, £544.* Patron, Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. The church has some Norman portions, and is good. Charities, £19.
