Part of the surface rises steeply to a height of 600 feet, and pa is a dell. The living is a vicarage in the dio. of Oxford. Value, £120.* Patron, the Vicar of Cookham. The church was built in 1845. There are Independent and P. Methodist chapels, and a national school.
