Ballumbie, an estate, with the seat of Rt. M `Gavin, Esq., and with remains of an old castle, in Murroes parish, Forfarshire, 14 miles NE of Dundee. The old castle was the seat of the ancient Anglo-Norman family of Lovel, now long extinct.
