EHEN (The), a river of Cumberland. It issues from Ennerdale lake; goes past Ennerdale - Bridge, Wath, Cleator, Egremont, and Beckermet; describes a semi-circular course of about 12 miles; and falls into the sea in the neighbourhood of Sellafield.
