HALLIKELD, a hamlet and a wapentake in N. R. Yorkshire. The hamlet is in Winton township, SigstonKirby parish; and lies 4¼ miles NE of Northallerton.- The wapentake lies between the rivers Ure and Swale; is bounded by East Hang, East Gelling, Birdforth, Bulmer, and Claro; and contains four parishes, and parts of seven others. Acres, 3, 344. Pop. 6, 596. Houses 1, 422.
