LENSDEN, a chapelry in Widecombe-in-the-Moor parish, Devon; on the E side of Dartmoor, 6 miles NNW of Ashburton r. station. It was constituted in 1863; and its Post town is Ashburton, under Newton-Abbot. Pop., 400. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of Exeter. Value, not reported.* Patron, Mrs. Larpent. The church was built in 1863.
