Mull, Sound of, between Mull island and Morvern, Argyllshire; is from 1 ½ mile to 3 ¼ miles wide, and has beautiful and varied scenery along its shores; on Runa Gal rock, 50 yards seaward of high-water mark and 1 ½ mile N. of Tobermory, is Mull Sound Lighthouse, 63 ft. high, with fixed light 55 ft. above high water and seen 12 miles.
