Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Rosstrevor

Rosstrevor, small seaport and watering-place with ry. sta., Kilbroney par., S. co. Down, on Carlingford Lough, 2 miles E. of Warrenpoint sta. and 8 ¾ miles SE. of Newry, pop. 706; P.O., T.O.; is beautifully situated, and is sheltered on the N. by the Mourne mountains. A tramway line extends between Rosstrevor and Warren-point. Rosstrevor House, seat, is in vicinity.
