Highclere, par. and vil., N. Hants, 4½ miles SW. of Newbury sta. and 7 miles W. of Kingsclere, 3484 ac., pop. 378; P.O.; in vicinity of vil. is Highclere Castle, the magnificent seat of the Earl of Carnarvon, situated in a wooded and picturesque park, 13 miles in circuit.
