Manorbier, coast par. and vil. with ry. sta., in co. and 5 miles SE. of Pembroke, 3623 ac. and 126 foreshore, pop. 631; P.O.; Manorbier Castle, built in time of Henry I., is now an extensive ruin; it was the birth-place of Giraldus Cambrensis (1146-1224), of the family of De Barri, the topographer and historian of Wales; a portion of the castle has been fitted up as a modern residence.
