Staffordshire, 7½ miles NW. of Walsall and 125 miles NW. of London -- par., 10,775 ac., pop. 18,377; town, pop. 17,125; P.O., T.O., 2 Banks; extensive coal mines. Cannock Chase is a rich coal district of about 3600 ac. The par. contains the hamlet of Cannock Wood.
