Stoke Poges, par. and vil., in SE. of Bucks - par. (partly in town of Slough), 3465 ac., pop. 2150; pop. of town part, 109; vil., 2 miles N. of Slough; P.O., T.O.; Stoke Farm, Stoke Park, and Stoke Place are seats. The churchyard is the scene of the Elegy of Gray (1716-1771), the poet, who is buried here.
