Monk Sherborne (or West Sherborne), par., eccl. dist., and vil., Hants, 3 miles NW. of Basingstoke - par., 2985 ac., pop. 473; dist. (partly also in Wootton St Lawrence par.), pop. 422; P.O., called Monks Sherborne; had a priory of time of Henry I., the chapel of which still remains.
