Moel Fammau (Hill of Mothers), on border of Denbighshire and Flintshire, 4 miles W. of Mold, alt. 1823 ft.; is the highest point of the Clwydian range (extending 20 miles S. from Prestatyn), and was chosen as the site of the Jubilee Column (150 ft.) erected in 1810 to celebrate the 50th year of George III.'s reign; the column was blown over in 1862.
