Croft, par., township, and vil. with ry. sta., North-Riding Yorkshire, on river Tees, 3 miles S. of Darlington and 241 miles NW. of London -- par., 7379 ac., pop. 815; township, 4745 ac., pop. 537; P.O., T.O.; part of the vil., with the ry. sta. and P.O., is on the Durham side of the Tees, which is here crossed by a fine bridge. C. is a spa, with pump-room and baths. The waters are regarded as highly beneficial in cutaneous diseases.
