Ballinakill, small town, Dysart - Gallen par., S. Queen's co., 3 miles SE. of Abbeyleix, and 63 miles SW. of Dublin, pop. 630: P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Market-day, Tuesday. It has some trade in woollens. Here are the ruins of a castle destroyed by Fairfax, and rebuilt (1680) by the Dunns.
