Leven, River, Dumbartonshire; issues from S. end of Loch Lomond, at Balloch pier, and flows S. through the Vale of Leven to the Clyde at Dumbarton; is 7 miles long (5 miles in a straight line), and on its banks are print-fields, bleachworks, and dyeworks.
