Hemsby, coast par. and vil. with ry. sta., N. Norfolk, 6½ miles N. of Yarmouth, 1785 ac., pop. 648; P.O.; Hemsby Gat, channel across the Barber Sand, is 3½ miles long and ½ mile wide; to W. of vil. is the seat of Hemsby Hall.
