Croom, town and par. with ry. sta., in co. and 11 miles SW. of Limerick -- par., 13,415 ac., pop. 2865; town, pop. 747; P.O., T.O. A little to W. of town, on left bank of river Maigue, is C. Castle, the old seat, now restored, of the O'Donovans and the Fitzgeralds.
