Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Redneck

Redneck, a troutful stream of Comrie parish, Perthshire, rising at an altitude of 1980 feet between Ruadh Bheul (2237) and Creag Uigeach (2840), and hurrying 11 miles south-eastward (for the last 33/8 along the Monzievaird and Strowan boundary) till, after a total descent of nearly 1800 feet, it falls into the Earn at Comrie village. It traverses a deep-cut, wooded glen, and forms a number of romantic waterfalls, one of which tumbles into the Devil's Cauldron.—Ord. Sur., sh. 47, 1869.
