Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Kinninmonth

Kinninmonth, a quoad sacra parish of NE Aberdeenslvire, whose church (1838; 300 sittings) stands 3 miles N- by E of Mintlaw. Constituted in 1874, it is in the presbytery of Deer and synod of Aberdeen; the minister's stipend is £120. Pop. (1881) 1116, of whom 626 were in Lonmay, 293 in Strichen, 169 in the Banffshire (detached) section of Old Deer, 17 in Crimond, and 11 in Longside.—Ord. Sur., sh. 87, 1876.
