Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Hills Tower

Hills Tower, an ancient tower in Lochrutton parish, E Kirkcudbrightshire, 5¾ miles WSW of Dumfries. Dating from times unknown to record it includes , later entrance lodge inscribed with the date 1598, and continues in tolerable preservation.
