Harold's Tower, a monumental structure near the coast of Thurso parish, Caithness, 1½ mile ENE of Thurso town. It was erected in the latter part of last century, by Sir John Sinclair, over the grave of an Earl of Caithness, who was slain in battle about the close of the 12th century; and it presents a striking appearance.
