Glendinning, an estate in Westerkirk parish, NE Dumfriesshire, on Megget Water, 5 miles N by W of the church. It belongs to Sir F. J. W. Johnstone of Westerhall, Bart., and contains remains of an old castle. An antimony mine was worked on it from 1793 till 1798, and produced, in that time, 100 tons of regulus of antimony, worth £8400.Ord. Sur., sh. 10, 1864.
