Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Faseny Water

Faseny Water, a Lammermuir rivulet of Garvald and Whittingham parishes, S Haddingtonshire, rising close to the Berwickshire border at an altitude of 1550 feet above sea-level, and winding 7¼ miles east-north-eastward till it falls into the Whitadder at Mill Knowe, 3 miles WNW of Cranshaws church. It possesses great interest to geologists as exposing a fine section of the Lamermuir rocks, and is well stocked with trout.—Ord. Sur., sh. 33, 1863.
